It has been quite a month trying to get contractors to get us a bid for the work to be done on the tool shed. Finally, we got them, and Sharon was able to get the grant done on time.
Admissions have picked up nicely, last Saturday the Rotary group had their State convention in our town and Barrie Mathews encouraged them to come see the museum in their down time and boy did they. About 60 came. I have written Berrie a thank you.
Donations were: a canning pot given by Floyd Hoover, The regular saddle and side saddle of the Wilson family and $150.00 cash donation by Wally and Judy Bowers.
Deloris Cameron and Sharon Moore deep cleaned Miles Town and Sharon has placed a typed history by each business. It really looks sharp in there. Then the retired teachers came and cleaned the schoolhouse inside and out.
There was a problem with the water sprinklers and Wiley has been working to repair it as a new system would cast about $600. Then he will replace any sprinkler heads that are needed.
We had 190 second graders and 16 adults from the the 3 grade schools in today. There are at least 2 more groups coming sometime this summer.
