We didn’t have any functions in the hall this month, so the count remains at 19 with 36 dated for the rest of the year. The school from Custer, Mt. brought a total of 35 to tour the museum and in the month oh may we have students from Hysham, Miles City and Circle.
Deloris Cameron Sharon Moore and Verna Viall came to help do some deep cleaning and the visitors are commenting about how clean it is. Every weekend Wiley comes and fixes whatever I have on the list, I am deep cleaning the office and washing the table cloths in the Memorial Hall. Wally Badgett, Sharon Moore and Mark Jacobson went through a couple of closets in preparation for some military and ladies displays. Our other volunteer were: Ed Mayberry, Janet Kline, Gary Clarke Karen Hathaway and Grant Miller.
Groceries are ordered for the Bucking Horse Cowboy Breakfast and the entries for the Parade have been sent in for the Model T and the wagon train.
At the plaque dedication on June 4th we have 11 people to honor and they are: Helen Orested, Guy Clarence and Jascelyn Adelis Minor, Wilber Lorn and Ruth Hamaker Dyer, Arthur James and Mary Ellen (Mame) Zinram Viall. John William and Carrie Luanna Van Kleek Canoy, Charles Edward ( Ed) and Blanche Winslow Shipman Trycinski, Marlyn Eugene Janssen, Sadell Epstein Levi, Harry Epstein, Rose Katz Epstein, Leo Fredrick and Mary Emily Robinson Barthelmess with a possibility of two more. The families have all received reminder/RSVP’s in the Mail.
When Leif Ronning paid his dues he sent a note saying he would volunteer to do finishing work inside buildings etc. if we ever needed that work done. So he is going to patch the chimney in the school house and repair the ceiling in Charley place.
We moved and placed a couple flower pots and placed them by the bench in front of the museum. This week Deloris Cameron will plant them and the fountain. Gary Miller hopes to build another bench to place on the other side of the main door. Jay Terrett and Wally Badgett put the sign back on the Clark Gun building and the work continues.
Respectfully submitted,
Bunny Miller– Curator
